Abstract

Review of the book Historical Technology, Materials
and Conservation: sem and Microanalysis edited by Nigel
Meeks, Caroline Cartwright, Andrew Meek and Aude
Mongiatti, printed by Archetype Publications in association
with the British Museum, London in 2012. This book
contains written versions of the presentations given at the
two-day conference entitled “SEM and Microanalysis in
the Study of Historical Technology, Materials and Conservation” held at the British Museum on 9-10 September
2010, organized by the Department of Conservation and
Scientific Research of the British Museum, in association
with Hitachi High-Technology Europe.

Author Biography

Ana Laura Camacho Puebla, Escuela de Conservación y Restauración de Occidente ECRO, Jalisco, México

Licenciada en restauración de bienes muebles (Escuela de Conservación y Restauración de Occidente ECRO, México). Ha participado en diversos proyectos de restauración y fungido como responsable de conservación y restauración en el Museo de las Artes de la Universidad de Guadalajara (México). Desde 2012 es docente en la ECRO (México) donde imparte, entre otras materias, el Seminario-Taller de Restauración de Metales STRM, y participa como colaboradora en el Seminario-Taller de Restauración de Pintura Mural STRPM . En 2012 obtuvo el Premio Nacional INAH, Paul Coremans (México) a la mejor tesis de licenciatura en el área de conservación de bienes muebles.
