Abstract

This contribution describes the structure and mission of Restauradores Sin Fronteras (A-RSF) (Restorers Without Borders), a non-governmental development organization (NGDO), detailing its specific objectives and lines of action, all aimed at promoting cultural heritage as a driving force for sustainable development in disadvantaged communities. Some of the projects implemented in 2011 are mentioned and we also reflect upon some future prospects, especially in Latin America. ONGD de carácter internacional y sin ánimo de lucro, creada en 1999, cuya misión es promover iniciativas que articulen al patrimonio cultural y natural como herramienta para generar la mejoría económica, social y cultural de comunidades, y con ello contribuir tanto a la lucha contra la pobreza como a la operación de esquemas de desarrollo sostenible en las regiones menos favorecidas del mundo.
